although NTR's performance was good the story seems to be a bit related from megastare's ANJI.
so the movie could not achive sucess.

the muhurat for the highly anticipated film started off with a grand puja on the sets. The film is based on the life of a freedom fighter who fought valiantly against the oppressive upper class during the Nizam regime and lay down his life. Nagarjuna informed us that the script of Rajanna has stuck to the pages of history to impart originality. The movie is going to have dialogues in Telengana Dialect as reinforcement to the pre-independence backdrop.
A huge set is erected for this movie in Annapurna studios. Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad is directing the movie. Rajamouli will direct the action sequences in the movie.
Rajanna is the story of a little girl and her saviour (Rajanna). Nagarjuna will have just 40 minutes role in the movie and the character dies in the second half.
Vijayendra Prasad has earlier lent stories to all Rajamouli’s films and now he is about to make his Telugu cinema debut. And Nagarjuna is producing Rajanna movie under his own banner Annapurna Studios.
Nagarjuna’s Rajanna is a Telugu movie that spins about a girl’s travel and the film shows how Nagarjuna helps in her pursuit. Further, all the action related scenes of Rajanna involving Nagarjuna are being directed by SS Rajamouli.
